Part One

I cranked the music box that I left on the table to listen to while I washed and dried the dishes by hand, my once soft hands were beginning to shrivel up like a prune. I been locked in this house for since birth tied down by words of the law and or the heavenly god of this house, which of course was my father.  Back then I lived in another world one where woman were no were equal to men not in politics nor in her own home, the only 3 jobs we have is making supper, raising children, and then house work.                       After washing the dishes I cranked the music box up some more and went straight to the old cracked piano and played with the music. I slowly lifted my hands off the piano and picked up a golden creased letter that had been open and it read:
 Dear Ms. Kantor,
         Congratulation on your admission

Her hair her smile everything she has is what I want my child to inherit. She is different. I don’t know how to explain, she isn’t model pretty she is beautiful in that why that you can’t take your eyes off. I then reached my hand on her shoulder and she turned to where I could see she was holding the red rose. I can’t believe it.                                                                                                                                                                          “Kathrine” My hand was shaking but I hid it within my sweater “, is that really you?” She looked at me with her eyes that made anyone who sees them speechless. “Yeah it is.” She said fixing her burgundy beanie.

Part one 1

You see words can tie you down to someone or something, It can connect you and disconnect you, It sometimes shows your background, and tells people your personality and how you are feeling....Words are really something, but what can you do when you never said your first word? Not as if you were a baby but something clinically wrong...something doctors can’t seem to figure out. Well that’s me, Amla, I was never able to talk and it’s as if I’m in a contract with a witch like Ariel was. But the thing is, is that this is reality and I learned that a long time before I even started my childhood… you see I live with just my dad my mother died when I was two. Even though I was still young I remember the exquisite dresses she wore and how well they looked on her, I remember when she tried to make me say mommy, I remember trying to let out the words I gathered all the sounds but nothing no sound nothing would come out of my mouth. It wasn’t as if I was dumb at the that age I understood the language my mom and dad would speak but I never could grasp it and let it out of my mouth not until one day
